Basil Jones - Full Day of Diving Start your day at 8am; get picked up at your hotel dock. Cruise along the north reef of Ambergris Caye. Make your first dive of the day at Sandy Point; a well known dive site, up north, for the incredible tunnel formations. This dive starts off at about 50' at the entrance of the tunnel and slopes down to a max depth of about 100'. Once you surface you are welcome aboard with purified drinking water, a fresh tray of fruits and snacks. Spend your surface interval on board while cruising to your second dive. Your second dive of the day is at Basil Jones Canyons where the reef meets with the land at Ambergris Caye. The majestic canyon formation stretches out about 70'-100' to the east, in between grooves which slopes to 100'+ into the blue. After your second dive, it is lunch time, where we come to shore at Basil Jones. You are served your lunch spread while you enjoy the peaceful sound of the waves crashing onto the reef. After lunch you have a short time to relax on the beach before you get to your last dive. Your 3rd and last day for the day is a Mata Rocks Canyons; A slightly shallower dive site, popular for the abundance of queen conchs on the sandy area, which typically attracts eagle rays and nurse sharks. Once you get to the city board your private van a get a city tour around the old colonial buildings of the city. Then drive up the western highway to Our Unique Belize Zoo. Altun Ha Mayan Site & Jungle Spa Adventure Leaves San Pedro at 8:30am cross over the Bay into the Mayan made channel, while sight seeing the wide variety of flora and fauna found in the river banks, to the remote village of Bomba. Here aboard a bus which will transport you through the old Pan American Highway (the first high way ever built which connected the Central American countries) to Altun Ha, where you get a guided tour around the archeological site. After a half day of raw adventure you head off to Maruba Jungle(which offers a selection of spa treatments). A true wild jungle river ride! After that exciting river ride, right off the river bank you arrive to your final destination Lamanai. Watch the Manatees & Snorkeling Adventure Start your day at 8:30am cruise along pass several Cayes until you arrive at Swallow Caye, a natural habitat for the West Indian Manatees. Spend some time viewing the elusive manatees, then off to Goffs Caye where you get to snorkel off the beach into the reef. Nitrox Nitrox 32% $12.00 usd Nitrox 36% $15.00 usd About Nitrox Nitrox/Enriched Air enables you to dive at depth for much longer. It contains a greater percentage of oxygen and less nitrogen. This means that your body absorbs less nitrogen during a dive and you can dramatically increase your maximum allowable bottom time. This is particularly effective at deeper depths - from 16m – 30m. Another effect of Nitrox is that for the same dive time as an air dive, it reduces the harmful effects of nitrogen in the body. So your risk of getting DCS (decompression sickness/the bends) is reduced.
